I recently joined hundreds of photographers nationwide who are participating in a most worthwhile cause called Giving Is Awesome, but instead of offering a family session, I want to give away a fun Senior Session for a deserving member of the class of 2011.
This will be a “rockstar” senior package valued at $550 and includes: 3-hour session at two or more locations, personal styling to include 3-5 clothing changes plus hair and makeup artistry, a 5×5 storybook album, choice of a 5×7 or 8x 10 gift portrait, 5 low-resolution digital images for social media and email sharing and 50 custom calling cards. The person who nominates the winner will get a $100 print credit as well! Read all the details below!

You know someone… You know someone who’s experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can’t afford custom photography, but who would cherish it. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family’s spirit, love, and beauty. You know someone. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography. $550 worth, to be exact. And now, it’s in your power to give them the experience and the artwork they deserve. Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner will receive a $100 print credit for their own photographic artwork as well. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be?
The rules are few and pretty simple:
- You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be in need. (Being unable to continue making mortgage payments for a multi-million dollar vacation home at the beach does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
- The nominee must reside in/be willing to travel to the Raleigh/Triangle area and must be a senior graduating in 2011.
- Nominations begin Tuesday, May 11 and will close on Monday, May 31. Winner will be selected and notified on Monday, June 14.
