Raleigh Angus Barn Pavilions wedding | Paige + Kyle

When Paige and Kyle met, they knew they had found chemistry.  Not because they’re science geeks wearing funny goggles as they light Bunsen burners….(they’re not!)but because an online dating site called Chemistry.com brought them together!

Since it is a site that matches personalities, they were hopeful that there would be at least a tiny spark when they met. What they didn’t expect, however, was for that tiny spark to not only ignite a flame…but to create an explosion. An explosion of love that would change their lives forever.

Earlier this month, Paige and Kyle were married in a touching ceremony at the Angus Barn Pavilions. Surrounded by their loving families and their closest friends, they pledged to love one another for a lifetime….and to always keep the sparks alive.

Thank you, Paige and Kyle, for inviting me into your special day. It was an honor to capture these special memories for you. I am happy to now call you friends and wish you a lifetime of love…happiness…and sparks! OXOX  ~ Renee

And many thanks to my dear friend Tanya for photographing this wedding with me, for keeping me sane throughout the day and for always being there to share the fun and laughs!

Those of us who grew up in Raleigh have enjoyed the Angus Barn – a Raleigh institution – for years. I was thrilled when Van decided to expand to include the Pavilions, which in three short years, has become a prime Raleigh wedding venue. There are so many rustic details to photograph on the grounds…it’s like photographic heaven!

The bride’s room is very vintage and girly…with mirrors and antique details everywhere… Bride and groom at Angus Barn Pavilions wedding The ceremony site overlooking the water is so peaceful…and Paige and Kyle couldn’t have asked for a better day to get married.  I love Kyle’s reaction to seeing Paige for the first time that day…
A very happy and much more relaxed Mr. and Mrs….
I. heart. this! A few family portraits and then it was party time… This may be one of my all-time favorite ring shots…The Angus Barn has long been known for its apples, so I couldn’t resist using it for a ring shot prop!  The grounds were in full bloom…love these red and purple flowers… I loveloveLOVE the custom cake topper….a BOBBLEHEAD of Paige and Kyle. Seriously?!?! Yes…I think I might to have one of these made…just because… I love all the details Swank used on this cake…especially the Celtic knots that paid homage to Paige’s Irish heritage…
The old birdcage to hold cards and the vintage tub to hold wedding gifts is a winner! Love it! Paige loves to be creative so she hand crafted their guest book…and red and orange M&M’s were the guest favors… Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Barefoot…. Paige and Kyle chose “Amazed” as the song for their first dance because she said they are both amazed more and more every day…by their love for each other and the life they’re creating together. I think all of the parents were holding back tears at this point…
After a wonderful dinner, it was time for more dancing. Paige’s dad kept it together pretty well all day….until he started dancing with his daughter… Jason with Island Sound did a good job getting guests out on the dance floor…
I always love capturing photos of kids on the dance floor….especially when they’re dancing with their parents. I hope they will be this joyful dancing on their wedding days!
A little “Electric Slide” anyone?  The dramatic skies and full moon add to the magical ambience of the Pavilions! I think Paige and Kyle enjoyed cutting the cake almost as much as they enjoyed eating it…. And YES! It tasted as good as it looked (those of you who know me know i HAVE to have a piece of cake at each wedding)!! This DJ loved his line dances…I think this was an Italian wedding dance? That’s Amore, for sure! A final dance from Paige and Kyle before the big send-off…
