Atlantic Beach Dunes Club Wedding | Heather + Dolph

If I had to pick a song that embodies this couple, it would be “Better Together.” Separately, Heather and Dolph are both amazing people. She’s sweet and sassy with a smile that lights up a room. And she has a heart of gold and gives freely to those around her. He’s smart, funny and loves to make people laugh. And he has a zest for life that is infectious. Like I said, amazing. But together? Oh, together they’re even better!

These two definitely bring out the best in each other and in all those around them.  They epitomize the word team and there’s nothing they can’t face and conquer together. Their Atlantic Beach Dunes Club wedding was unseasonably chilly and there was a lingering threat of rain all weekend, but they never let that slow them down. Family and friends from near and far packed the church to witness Heather and Dolph pledge their love and lives to each other. Because they’re better that way. Together.

Heather and Dolph ~ I am honestly at a loss for words. To adequately sum up how I feel about you is impossible, but just know that I absolutely adore you both! Thank you for welcoming me into your hearts, surrounding me with lots of love, and making me part of the family. I am honored and humbled beyond belief! May all of your days be filled with love, laughter , happiness – and most importantly, togetherness. Much love! OXOX ~R

The Creative Team:  Ceremony: FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH // Reception: THE DUNES CLUB // Cake: DELICATE DELIGHTS // Florist: TILDY DESIGNS & FAMILY FRIENDS // Band: THE CRAIG WOOLARD BAND // Invitations: REAVES ENGRAVING // Bridal attire: BRIDE’S MOTHER

Heather wore her mother’s wedding dress and veil that she made for her own wedding to Heather’s father years ago. Stunning!

Beautiful light, a beautiful dress and gold shoes topped off with bows = perfection!

Dolph completed his wedding suit with his grandfather’s cufflinks – the original Rudolph. The beautiful couple… Cutest flower girl and ring bearer ever…

Now here’s a man excited to be married! One of the flower girls decided to wear Heather’s veil to the reception…so. stinkin’. cute!

So an old southern wives’ tale is that there will be no rain on wedding day if the groom buries a bottle of bourbon at the ceremony site exactly 30 days before the wedding and then digs it up that day. Not wanting to bring any bad luck (or rain) on their wedding day, Dolph made sure to follow the tradition to the letter. And – sure enough – no rain on wedding day.  I love unique wedding details. Heather didn’t disappoint with these beautiful blue vases she has been collecting that were used for the centerpieces throughout the Dunes Club. Heather’s godfather and a family friend created the gorgeous florals.

The Craig Woolard Band rocked it all night long!
Craig singing to one of his youngest fans… The flower girl and ring bearer kept the dance floor hopping all night….

I’ve seen guys ignore the garter but I’ve never seen a group of girls not try to catch the bouquet.  They ended the evening with a grand exit amidst pom poms from State and that blue school.
