bhodi and rob: best friends | raleigh nc pet photographer

I introduced you to Bhodi in this sneak peek shortly after our session last week and promised you’d  see more of him and get to meet his ‘person’, Rob. Those of you who know me personally know how much I love puppies – of all breeds. So I was thrilled to get to meet and photograph sweet Bhodi, an awesome golden retriever. This session came about just before Christmas, when I received an email from Bhodi’s “mom”, Mary. She’s married to Rob and wanted to give him a special gift for Christmas — one that he would never think to do for himself. So she planned a photography session for Rob and his beloved dog. I always try to photograph in areas that are meaningful to my clients, and since Rob is an avid runner, we chose the dog-friendly trails at the art museum. We had a great time together and I’m excited to share a few of my favorite images from their session.

I just love the way Bhodi and Rob are looking at each other in this image.

Such love and devotion between master and dog… LOVE this. They totally are in their element here! After photographing Rob and Bhodi together, I had to get a few of Bhodi alone. He was such a patient and cooperative model!
