COMFORTABLE. When asked, that’s the word Carolyn used to describe her style. I thought it was fairly accurate when I met them for their engagement session last December. And, after getting to know her and Rick, I would say it’s the perfect word. To describe her. To describe them. They’re totally laid back. They’re care-free. If they were a pair of jeans, they’d be relaxed fit! Completely comfortable.
That’s the word to describe their idea of the perfect wedding day, too. Carolyn was a bit of a nontraditional bride as it pertained to the frills and the pomp and circumstance of the day. She didnt care about the dress. Or the shoes. Or the little details. She wanted to be comfortable. And not just in her dress and her shoes.
Comfortable, to Carolyn and Rick meant having a small, intimate wedding surrounded by family and their closest friends as they shared their traditional vows and promised to love and cherish each other for eternity. Comfortable meant sharing conversation…and hugs….and laughs with the people they care about most. Comfortable meant reminiscing about great old times and making new memories together with their family and friends. Comfortable meant just being together – and sharing love – on that day. Comfortable. Yes. The perfect word. For a perfect couple. On the most perfect day of their lives.
Carolyn and Rick….I am honored to have been part of your special day and am grateful to call you friends. I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness and loads of laughter together. May your love grow bigger and brighter with each passing day and may your marriage always be like a worn pair of jeans. Completely comfortable! OXOX ~R

A traditional white dress? Not for this bride. She was beautiful in blue!
Oh Carolyn….you’re just beautiful!
And not to be outdone….Rick, the handsome groom.
Carolyn and Rick opted for a first look and some private time before the wedding.
A special thank you to my associate and friend Amy for photographing this wedding with me! You rock!
