doing what she does best!

There are three things Madeline Elise, aka Maddie, (yes, like all southern gals, she has a full name and a nickname) does best:

1)   Look beautiful

2)   Shower me with love and kisses

3)   Get her beauty rest

Now, this girl likes to sleep. Not just likes it. I mean she LIKES it.  In fact, she likes it so much she takes it to another whole level.

Apparently when she was a mere puppy she heard the old adage that one of the keys to staying beautiful is to get plenty of rest. And that’s one thing she has remembered! Being beautiful is such hard work—I mean, all that prancing and preening she’s done for the last 13 years really takes a lot out of a gal. Who knows if the old adage is true, but she’s clearly not going to chance it.

So here is my beloved Maddie, doing what she does best.

She was not amused that I woke her up. Not even to take her picture, which she just adores. Such a DIVADOG!
