It’s no secret to those who know me well that I love Christmas. No, really. I LOVE Christmas! I love everything about it. The carols. The parties and celebrations. The Christmas cards we send and receive from our dear family and friends. The smells of trees, cookies baking, candles burning. And the decorations. Oh yes! The decorations! I especially love decorating for Christmas! This was our first married Christmas together…and my first time to decorate our Sprink home. To keep with the holiday spirit, I thought I would share some of my favorite decorations from this Christmas.

Some of my favorite ornaments:
#1: The first Radko ornament I received – this is the one that started my collection
#2: Braveheart: created after 9/11 in honor of all those who were lost in that tragedy
#3: Given to us by my mother-in-law to celebrate our wedding this year
#4: An ornament my mom and I made when i was 5. She was taking a ceramics class and made the ornament and drew my profile. Check out the penmanship on that name – pretty darn good for a 5 year old!
#5: This is the Santa that sat in my grandmother’s tree when my mom was a little girl. He sat in our tree when I was growing up. Now he sits in my tree every year.
#6: The first ornament Jeff and I bought together – on our trip to Barbados.

The second one on the right will always be a special one. It’s certainly not as glitzy as some of the other ones hanging on the tree, but it’s one that my dad and I made together with Shrinky Dinks (the rage in the late 70s) when I was a little girl.
