Just thinking about Hann and Chung-Wei makes me smile. First of all, they’re just so stinkin’ cute together! But more importantly, I just enjoy being around them. It’s safe to say they’re a little more quiet than I – but they’re oh-so-much-fun! There’s never a shortage of good-natured ribbing or loads of laughter when we’re all together. Like during their NC State engagement session when Hann and Chung-Wei both shared the story of how they met (each tells it just a little differently, by the way).
They were both at a party at NC State, where they’re both PhD students. (See…funny, smart and they pull for the right team – what’s not to love?!?). Chung-Wei was determined to get to know Hann better, even if that meant stalking her riding the same bus at the same time just because she was on it (he noticed her at the bus stop from his office window and figured out her schedule). One day he finally asked if she wanted him to drive her home since he had a car (see, he didn’t need to ride the bus!) and, as they say, the rest is history. The two have been inseparable since. They share the same interests, support each other and are totally comfortable and relaxed when they’re together. And it’s a good thing – the two tied the knot last year, so watch for their wedding post to come soon. In the meantime, enjoy a few of my favorite photos from their fun engagement session on Centennial Campus and in the gorgeous Hunt Library.
Meet NC State senior Emily, a psychology major born and raised right here in Raleigh. In her spare time, you can always find this fun-loving gal shopping, catching a movie, traveling, going to a concert, dancing, or just hanging out with her adorable dog Ellie (or a certain Wolfpack football player!). She can’t live without her family, friends and the beach. She is truly a girl after my own heart- she has a passion for photography, loves Wolfpack football, and is all about anything pink. She is heavily involved in her (and my!) sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, having served as Chapter President these last two years, and is also a Charlotte’s girl – working at the Cameron Village store. Emily is extremely creative and motivated and is hoping to find a career that will utilize her organizational and leadership skills and incorporate her outgoing, bubbly and contagious personality. I would say the future is pretty bright for this beauty!
Here are a few of my favorite images from Emily’s senior session on campus last fall.
Bright yellow shoes are a bit unorthodox – and definitely eye-catching. So when Stephanie and Caleb, strangers at the time, both showed up on the same volleyball team wearing bright yellow shoes, it sparked their interest in each other right from the start. A sign, so to speak, that they needed to meet.
Eventually Caleb would ask for Stephanie’s number, and after some casual dates, the rest is beautiful, wonderful, full-of-love, history. Each just adores everything about the other — from those crazy yellow shoes, to a myriad of shared interests, to their love for each other’s passion, drive, sense of humor, and the Lord. Caleb’s proposal to Stephanie was a sweet and romantic one. While on a beach trip, he took her to the exact spot where they had first said “I love you” to each other and, taking her by complete surprise, asked her to be his wife. Of course she said yes and now they’re planning for a beautiful spring wedding in Raleigh.
Check out some of my favorite photos from their Washington, D.C. engagement session last fall!
