I’ve had several requests for the recipe for the blue cheese & bacon dip I served at our Christmas party this year, so I decided to share it with all of you.
Blue Cheese & Bacon Dip
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened (I normally use fat free)
2 (5-ounce) packages crumbled blue cheese
1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (i actually don’t measure this – i like a lot of garlic)
2 packages real bacon pieces or 8-10 slices cooked bacon, crumbled and divided
milk (i dont measure this either)
1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.
2. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, blue cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, and 1 1/2 packages (or 6-8 slices) crumbled bacon. Add milk to keep mixture creamy.
3. Spoon cheese mixture into casserole or baking dish. Sprinkle remaining bacon crumbles on top.
4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until browned and bubbly. Serve warm with crackers. It’s also VERY tasty if served with homemade potato chips.
If you decide to make it, let me know how it turns out.
