Thank you! For allowing me the privilege of having photographed you this year.

For all the loving words from mothers. For all the hugs and jokes from fathers. For all the squeals of delight from happy seniors. For trusting me and my wild ideas.

To all the brides and grooms and seniors and families – thank you, from the bottom of my heart. It is an honor to have captured your wedding day,  your senior year, your family. It humbles me to the core. I wish you all the best – in 2013 and beyond!

I’m so thankful to be heading into 2013 knowing I get to do this all again next year.

Here’s to you.

What do you get when you combine two large Italian families with a spunky bride and a groom who are crazy about each other, add in a lot of fun and laughs and then top it off with a few absolutely swoontastic details? Cheri and Matt’s Brier Creek Country Club wedding, of course.

From Cheri’s blue rhinestone shoes to the gorgeous floral arrangements to the delightfully delicious cupcake and candy bar, their wedding was filled with jaw-dropping eye candy at every turn. But more important than being filled with “pretty”, their wedding was filled with pure, crazy, head-over-blue-high-heels love! And just oodles of fun!  Theirs was the kind of wedding that makes you never want it to end. The kind that makes guests smile the entire way home. The kind that leaves everyone talking and laughing for years to come.

Because that’s Cheri and Matt (see more of their love story here). You never want time spent with them to end. They’re fun. And they always leave you laughing and smiling.

Cheri and Matt – It’s no secret that I simply adore you both (though I’ll give an ever-so-slight edge to Matt since he’s a Wolfpacker through and through! *ha!). Just being in your presence is pure joy. A heartfelt thank you for welcoming me into your big Italian families and making me feel like one of you! I am honored to call you clients. I am even more honored to now call you friends. May every day of your marriage be filled with the same love, laughter and fun that filled your wedding day. Much love! OXOX ~ R

I just love this sweet moment between Cheri and her dad just before he walked her down the aisle. So cute!

Matt’s mom seems deliriously happy… These may be the cutest flower girls ever….loveloveLOVE the signs announcing Cheri’s arrival… Priceless reaction to seeing the ceremony scene as she’s about the embark down the aisle… And even more priceless is Matt’s reaction to seeing Cheri for the first time that day…  Best reaction to the kiss….ever. 🙂 Matt and Cheri had a special request to capture a photo of them with all the guests…Love the way this turned out… What an awesome bridal party! Swooooon!

The gorgeousness just never stopped… New favorite ring shot… Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs….

The look of love… Cheri’s dad gave one of the sweetest, most heartfelt speeches I’ve heard in a long time. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. And then the real fun began… Matt, Cheri and their friends danced all night long – and even included a Michael Jackson dance-off in the festivities…

Sending them off to Italy in style…

Wedding photos from NC Museum of Art in Raleigh NCIt was impossible not to fall in love with Katie and Greg the first time I met them. They’re the kind of couple that you just love being around – the kind you can sit and chat with for hours on end. They’re warm. They’re Southernly sweet. They’re sincere. And they’re completely in love with one another. Real love. So much of it that it almost makes you blush.

Katie’s vision was a wedding that was sophisticated, understated and timeless – “Kennedy-esque” with a bit of “Southern preppy” mixed in. (View Katie’s glam bridal session here.) A traditional ceremony at her home church – the stately White Memorial Presbyterian – and a lively celebratory bash at the NC Museum of Art. And what she had was one of the most “pinch-me-perfect” wedding days imaginable. Not because of details galore (they had them). Or a runway-worthy gown (it was stunning!). Or even the fun-filled fete’ that followed (it was Oh-So-FAB!!).

No. It was because the day was exactly as she has imagined it. Sophisticated, understated and timeless. And filled with the things that truly matter to them. Dear family. Best friends. Belly-laughs. Unabashed joy. Pure happiness. And love. Real love.  So much love that it would almost make you blush!

Katie and Greg – I am better for having gotten to know you and your sweet families. Thank you for your amazing hospitality and for making me feel like “one of the gang”! I am honored to have been part of this time in your lives. I wish you all the best and truly hope every day of your marriage is filled with the same laughter, happiness and love that you shared on your wedding day. Much love…OXOX ~ R

I hope you enjoy these photos from Katie and Greg’s stunning NC Museum of Art wedding! It was truly spectacular thanks to this Creative Team:

Banks; Florist: The Watered Garden; Cake: Cinda’s Creative Cakes; Stationery: Reaves Engraving; Band: The Brotherhood Band

Katie’s gown is one of my all-time favorites…Simple. Elegant. With a little Jackie-O flair. And what girl can resist buttons down the back topped off with little bows? G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S!!

Pictures of wedding gown from NC Museum of Art in Raleigh NCButtons. Bows. AND pink and gold shoes? Oh be still my heart!!! Photos of brideKatie’s jewelry was new but her garter was old. It’s the same garter that her mother wore when she married Katie’s dad. And her soon-to-be mother-in-law gave Katie a linen handkerchief monogrammed with both her old and new initials. Such a special keepsake! Pictures of brideKatie had lots of help getting into her gown – what a special time for Katie’s mom and her two daughters. Such a beautiful bridal party… Katie’s mom planned a good ol’ Southern charm pull (sans the cake) for Katie and her bridesmaids before the ceremony. Each girl pulled a silver charm related to their friendship with Katie that they later tied onto their bouquets. Special cufflinks for a special groom…
I love this photo of Greg’s dad helping him put the finishing touches on his tie… The handsome groom… and his groomsmen…
There was no shortage of wisecracks and laughs with this crew… Gorgeous florals by The English Garden… Seriously Katie!?! Could you possibly be any more beautiful? Oh wait…maybe you can! LOVE this image! I love this photo of Katie and her mom. Such a special moment filled with love and pride.  This just makes me laugh because….Sisters will do what sisters do…even in frilly dresses. Katie gets some help to the church from her sister… White Memorial is one of my favorite old churches in Raleigh…so pretty and traditional… Overcome with joy…  Every moment of this wedding was tender and sweet…
Pledging to love, honor and cherish…and sealing it with a kiss.

Ready for an exit to bells and bubbles…

A huge THANK YOU to my dear friend Anna Kirby for photographing this wedding with me. I always love it when you can join me on wedding day! And…to Megan Keith for assisting me throughout the day! Your attention to detail is amazing and is greatly appreciated!

I could’t let this day end without getting a quick shot of all of “my girls” — Katie, Kasey (whose gorgeous wedding is shown here) and Heather, who will be getting married in April 2013. Love you all to pieces!

Good morning, my friends. My heart is so full right now. My step is a little quicker and my smile a little brighter this morning. We just celebrated the most amazing Christmas with family. I get to spend the next few days with my husband before we both go back to work in the new year. We’re looking forward to cheering on our beloved Wolfpack in our bowl game in a few days and to ringing in 2013 with friends.

And, I finally get to share a 15-month-long labor of love with you: my new Web site! To say I’m “over-the-moon-happy” would be an understatement. But I’m not only happy with it, I’m also incredibly proud of it.

I wanted a site that not only showed pretty pictures, but one that was a true reflection of Renee Sprink Photography.  One that would feel more authentic. More real. More me.

I spent several months working through branding exercises, looking at colors and fonts and researching design firms. And throwing my hands up in the air in complete frustration. I couldn’t seem to find the right fit. The designer who would get ME. And I knew that if the designer didn’t get me, he or she would never be able to communicate me or my business visually to my clients. Oh many, many tears were shed over this project. At one point, I deemed it a complete failure. And had all but given up. And then it happened.

One afternoon, I was perusing Pinterest (my husband calls it the “biggest rabbit hole known to women.” I call it “research”!) And after following one pin to another pin to another pin, I found her. I stumbled upon a website that made me sit up and take notice. I googled the designer of that site: Heather of Thea Creative. I was on her site for hours. And I was smitten! Not only did I love ALL of her work, but being on her site just felt right. I sent an email. She emailed back. We set up a phone conversation. And then spent THREE HOURS chatting. About my business. About my clients. About my personal life and relationships with Jeff and friends and family. About the importance of college football, pearls and monograms. About the fact that we’re both Zetas from our respective colleges. And about shoes! Of course we talked about shoes! And at the end of the call, she said to think it over and let her know in a few days if I felt she was the right fit and wanted to hire her. A few days?!?!?! There was no way I was waiting a few days! I knew that I had to have her create my site.  And so the work began! It’s been hard. It’s been humbling. But it’s also been very gratifying.

None of the awesomeness on the new site could have happened without you, Heather! Your talent is incomparable. I’m sending you a big North Carolina cyber hug and huge THANK YOU for your dedication over the last six months. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I am for the hours of work and all the care you put into crafting a site that reflects RSP.  In other words, YOU COMPLETELY ROCK!

Of course, I also have to thank Jeff for his supportiveness, patience and love throughout this process! I love you!

So finally…after hours upon hours upon hours of blood, sweat and tears….HERE. IT. IS. The new RSP….

And this, my friends, is just the beginning. There are a few things yet to come on the site over the next couple of weeks. And 2013 will usher in a new blog, a new look on Facebook, new packaging, and more.  So check back often for all of the great things ahead!

Thank you for visiting – I hope you enjoy it!

OXOX
Renee

Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas! I’ll be enjoying the remainder of this season with Jeff, our families and friends, focusing on the things in life that matter the most!

I hope Santa is good to you and brings you everything you’ve asked for – especially if it’s sparkly! More importantly, I hope you remember and celebrate the real reason for the season! I’ll see you all in a few days!

OXOX,
R
