Who would have thought that a mutual obsession for restaurant Crazy Fire Mongolian Grill would lead to a beautiful love story? Well, this is certainly true for Katelyn and Chris! After meeting there at Chris’s going away party when he was moving to Lincolnton, the two stayed in touch until Chris finally moved back to Raleigh. One lunch date at Crazy Fire when Chris moved back, and the two have been inseparable ever since. For Katelyn and Chris, their story is a happy one. It’s a fun one. It’s one full of love. They are best friends, extremely open with each other, and always keep each other laughing.
Although nasty Virginia weather cancelled Chris’s elaborate plan to propose to Katelyn while on a zip line tour, he did not let that stop him, and quickly made the best of the situation. It was the perfect time- Katelyn’s entire family was together – he couldn’t wait any longer to ask her to marry him. When the two went to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen with Katelyn’s entire family, Chris completely surprised her and proposed in front of the whole restaurant. Of course, Katelyn said yes, and the wonderful couple could not be happier!
They will tie the knot on Saturday at Jones Chapel at Meredith College, so watch for wedding updates soon.
