Baby George & big brother Jack

I posted a sneak peek of these two precious little boys last week and am very excited to finally post some of my favorite images from that session. Their mom emailed me about taking a couple of quick photos for their family Christmas card and I was thrilled to be able to work it in early one morning. Baby George is just the most beautiful little baby and, at 2 months old, was a perfect ‘model’! ha….And two year old big brother Jack? Let’s just say this little cutie-patooty was a moving target! He is very smart and I was amazed how well – especially at 2 – he took instruction. He did everything his mother and I asked him to do. He was just fast about it. VERY fast. Which meant I had better be fast too. There’s nothing like a 2 year old to teach you what ‘be on top of your game’ truly means. Fo’ sho!

As lively as Jack was, he was also just as sweet. My heart just melted when he leaned over to his brother, patted his tummy and said “I love you, baby George” with that innocent little voice of his.

The thing about photographing children – especially toddlers – is that they are unpredictable. Both the children and the shoots. There is very little planning for little ones like this because that all changes in an instant. That’s the challenge, but also part of the fun for me. You never know exactly what you have until you download the images after the shoot. Needless to say,  I was thrilled to open the images and find these little gems.
