So I knew my husband was cooking up something for our first anniversary on Monday, but I had no idea what it would be. I assumed there would be a little bling involved because… well, because I had hinted that there was a special wedding bead I wanted for my Pandora bracelet. Hinted, as in circled it in the catalog and left it, a month before our actual anniversary, on his end of the coffee table so he would see it with plenty of time to go get it. Hinted, as in saying “honey, i’d really like that Pandora bead for our anniversary.” Hinted. Okay. So they were strong hints. That’s how I roll.
What I didn’t expect was this gorgeous hydrangea bush that he bought. We both love hydrangeas and the garden at Haywood Hall (our wedding site) was just brimming with them last year. So, he bought us one. To plant on our anniversary. Together. To watch grow as we grow old together. Our bush right near the front door to remind us of our love for each other daily. (yes, i know girls! you should be jealous. and yes, guys, he has raised the bar for all of you! haha)
And the best part….it’s PINK! My favorite – just like our wedding colors. That man thinks of everything!
Best anniversary gift. Ever!
