As has become a tradition since she was old enough to walk, Lynley has a portrait session on the beach each September. Lynley loves the beach and the water…and she really loves to have her picture made. (She really should be my child! She’s way more like me than her mother/my sister!) The way she likes to preen and pose (all on her own, I might add), I’m beginning to think she’s destined to be America’s Next Top Model 2025!

We spent the week at Long Beach (if you grew up in North Carolina) — or Oak Island (if you didn’t and are a newbie to our state). We found this pretty little beach access down the road a bit from our house — which made for the perfect location for this session.

A favorite! I would love to know what she was thinking about here….looks like the wheels were spinning towards shenanigans of some sort.  What a beautiful beach babe!

She loves that starfish…and worked hard to find seashells all week. She was okay putting them all down on the beach….

until the tide started coming in…And then it was D-R-A-M-A!!! With all caps kind of DRAMA!

I am happy to report that no seashells were truly lost in the capturing of these images. She’s such a drama queen!
